Document-extraction pipeline
Invoices and forms turned into structured, reviewed data — no more retyping from PDFs.
bicaralabs · OPERATIONSRepresentative of the systems we build.
The problem
A logistics firm had staff retyping data from thousands of invoices and delivery documents into their system — slow, dull, and full of transcription errors.
What we built
An extraction pipeline: a document comes in, the system reads it, and the fields — supplier, amounts, dates, line items — come out as structured data. A review screen shows the original beside the extracted values with a confidence flag, so a person confirms rather than retypes. Only what’s uncertain needs a human eye.
The outcome
Manual entry dropped by around 80%, errors fell with it, and documents that used to sit in a queue got processed the same day. The human stays in the loop exactly where it’s cheap to be wrong to catch — and nowhere it isn’t.
